Naver (pronounced in Korean as 네이버) has come to be one of my favorite resources for learning Korean. For those unfamiliar with the site, Naver is similar to Google and the #1 search engine in South Korea. And Naver has it all. News, Hallyu updates, videos, blogs, webtoons, weather updates, anything really.

Whenever I want to search for something in Korean, I prefer using Naver as the search results here are much more precise than those I may find using google.

So depending on your personal interests, I urge you to go and explore Naver’s amazing content. A bonus feature for reading blogs on Naver is the exposure you will get to real-life Korean (mistakes and all), which is often much more fun to read that the very formal news article writing style.

I’ve included my favorite go-to Naver links here below:

Videos: Contains drama recaps, interviews, etc. May not be available in all countries.

Blogs: About all kinds of topics including cooking, fashion & beauty, dramas, K-pop.

News: Links to all kinds of Korean online newspapers.

Entertainment news: News about your favorite K-stars.

The BEST online Korean dictionary: When you must look up new words, go here. Excellent tool with pronunciation instructions, synonyms, and Hanjas (where applicable).

  1. I’m addicted to Naver. It is the first page I open on my laptop in the morning and I usually spend most of my waiting time on Naver as well ^^

  2. Your blog is inspiring. I remember when I first started out learning Korean, Naver was my bestfriend. Now that I plan to study again, I guess Naver and I will be working very closely just like the good old days 🙂

Btw, thanks for dropping by my blog.
